Remembrance is held in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations "to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian men and women, many who paid the ultimate price, in the two World Wars and more recent conflicts.

Remembrance is part of modern British life, culture, and heritage. It has become a particular feature of the public calendar each year when public, private, formal, and informal Remembrance events take place throughout the UK.

On Saturday 9th November 2024, at all matches, the Leagues asks that team officials and the referee organise a 1-minute silence in respect of Remembrance, before the commencement of the match.

Team officials and referee are asked to stand round the centre circle and the referee should blows his whistle for the start and conclusion of the 1-minute silence of Remembrance, to be followed by the commencement of the match.
